Bala is a Fortune 500 C-Suite executive and a recognized thought leader, currently serving as Chairman & Board Director of Balmer Lawrie – Van Leer Ltd. and Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer at Greif, a global leader in industrial packaging. He also serves on several boards, including the Columbus Council for World Affairs and the Center for Executive Compensation, and is an NACD Certified Corporate Director. Bala has held senior leadership roles at Xerox, Hewlett-Packard, Avaya, Coca-Cola, and United Technologies. Sanjay Datta is the Managing Director of Balmer Lawrie Van Leer Ltd. He joined the company in the year 2014 as Chief Financial officer and subsequently appointed as the Managing Director. Mr. Datta is an Associate Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and The Institute of Cost Accountants of India. During his career span of 34 years, he has a vast experience in manufacturing, telecom and other service industry. He has worked in various leadership and senior management decision making positions in some esteemed organizations like Vodafone, Balmer Lawrie & Co and Nicco Groups, throughout his career.

Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri

Mr. Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri took over as Chairman & Managing Director of Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. (BLC) with effect from 20th July 2024. Mr. Palchaudhuri has been serving as a Wholetime Director on the Board of BLC from 1st March 2020 and has also been serving on the Board of Vishakhapatnam Port Logistics Park Limited – a Joint Venture between BLC and Vishakhapatnam Port Authority. He is the Vice Chairman of BL-UAE, Board Member of AVI-OIL and BL-VL and a Commissioner on the Board of PT-BLI.
He joined BLC in 2012 to lead the ERP implementation across the organisation and subsequently moved to BLC's largest manufacturing SBU to lead its Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain Management functions. Prior to joining BLC, he has worked with reputed organisations in the IT services / Consulting sector in India and Abroad. He holds a B.E. (E&C) from IIT Roorkee and a PGDM from IIM Lucknow. He is a PMP and a CISA and is a certified Business Coach by Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.
He serves as Member of the Shipping and Logistics Committee and chairs the National Tourism Committee of BCC&I. He is a member of the SCOPE Executive Board, Executive Committee of Indian Chemical Council, CII Western Region Tourism Committee and Executive Committee of CII Eastern Region Council. He is the Chairman of the subcommittee on Public Sector Undertakings (PSU) for the year 2025-26. He also holds the position of Vice President, Eastern Region of the UN Global Compact Network India.
Shri Raja Mani Uthayaraja was appointed as Additional Director of the Company on 14th July 2022, following directions from the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoP&NG). He assumed charge as Director (Manufacturing Businesses) on the same day. His appointment was confirmed at the 105th AGM held on 27th September 2022 for a term of five years or until superannuation or further orders, whichever is earlier. He was re-appointed as Director at the 107th AGM.
A Chemical Engineering graduate from M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore, Shri Uthayaraja brings over 33 years of diverse industry experience spanning distilleries, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, beverages, leather chemicals, and industrial packaging. He has served in roles across projects, production, SCM, administration, sales, and marketing.
He began his career with Trichy Distilleries & Chemicals Ltd. and later worked with Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.. A technocrat by profession, he has held leadership positions across India, including his previous role as Executive Director for Industrial Packaging & Chemicals at Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd., where he also headed administration for Western and Southern regions.
Currently, as Director (Manufacturing Businesses), he leads strategic planning and oversees key business units including Industrial Packaging, Greases & Lubricants, Chemicals, ROFS, Engineering, and Projects. He is also a certified coach, having completed Level 2 of the Corporate Coaching Proficiency Program.

During the 25 years in Greif he brings extensive international experience gained from assignments in China, Brazil, US,  and the EU. Proven track record of delivering through leadership and teamwork in a challenging industry and customer driven environment. Comprehensive expertise of operational, project and program management, operating in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
 
Ms Tan Peck Ling brings a wide array of experiences from various industries, namely manufacturing, construction, technology, energy services, turnkey software replication services and e-supply chain management industries.
Peck Ling possesses 2 post graduate diplomas in Marketing and Management, and an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Australia.
Being a natural leader who strongly advocates employee engagement, talent development, and servant leadership, Peck Ling’s values in collaboration and partnership certainly brings about strength in unity, leading the business to higher performance and business achievement. Peck Ling has also strong foresight in the global market and economy, hence leading her teams to develop better business strategies and promising individual and collective advancement.
